Throttle quadrant (work in progress)

Showing you some pictures of my work on the throttle quadrant.

This is a work in progress and possibly the hardest project I ever encountered. Applying all the things I learned about cockpit building are needed here. The start of the project was a home build throttle that worked but was not up to my standards. So it was completely teared down and completely rebuilded.
Not yet decided if I will let the levers work with steppers or big RC servo's. The trim indicators will work with a small RC servo. These are easy to configure within ProSim by means of Pololu controller.
By now I'm working on this since 6 months, but slowly getting there.
June 2025
The left side of the quadrant has been finished almost except the wiring. Parking brake was finished including the engraving, which came out very nice. Speedbrake and trim indicators are finished.
At the right side of the throttle the flap rail has been replaced by an aluminium rail. The trim wheel light plate has been replaced because the old one was printed with an inktjet printer. Cleaned it with water... bad idea, all text vanished.
Needs to done, the servo for the trim indicator and the indicator itself.

We value your opinion on this page and would love to hear from you.

The current status of the throttle build, 16 june 2025.

The old and the newly made trim indicator lightplates.
These came out very well and fitted absolutely correct on the throttle quadrant.

The fuel panel between the two fuel levers made and mounted, backlighted and with rubber shields.
